Dream big

Right where you are, look around for a few seconds.

What did you see?
A desk, a wall, a park, a road? Maybe some cars? Houses?

Everything you are surrounded by is a result of someone's dream.

Some guy had worked relentlessly on the best way to make a brick that would last for years. He designed a house, that became your home. The world has been drastically changed. We have buildings now.
Someone dreamt of designing flat roads, high ways, best ways to transport.

The clothes you're wearing right now were designed with passion and purpose.

We only have what we have, because some people haven't given up on their dreams.

Some people decided to pursue them no matter how many obstacles they'd face on their way to success.
I'm not saying they've never had a break. Some issues may have been so complicated that they might have had to stop for a certain period of time, but before they knew it they were up and running again.

There are some common things between people who succeeded in their life and some of them are:
-self discipline. They kept on going when they didn't feel like it, when circumstances around them weren't good. They made their bodies get under the self discipline of getting up early, working long hours etc.
-focus. They have made a plan and they sticked to it.
-THEY DIDN'T GIVE UP. They've made many mistakes, but they kept on going.

Dyson, man who made hoovers, had made thousands of models before he got to the one that was the best. He worked relentlessly until he achieved his success. Then, he worked some more to make it even better.

Walt Disney has been fired from his first job for 'lack of imagination'. Would you agree?

So many people who thought against schemes and traditions, because their dream was bigger than them.

What I'm trying to get at in this note is:
What are your dreams?
What is stopping you?
How easily do you get discouraged?
Do you depend on people's opinion of you?
How quickly do you give up?
Would you like to accomplish something big? Bigger than you?

I've had a dream to be able to work with people and teach them.
This week, while standing at the shore of a beautiful lake, I spoke about dreams.
I spoke about reaching out. About us being our only limit.
This week I've realised that part of my dream has come to life.
Only a part of it, because once I've reached working with people, I saw that actually I want to dream bigger. I want to expand this dream, and work, mentor and teach more people.
Marking two years of my work at the Discipleship school called Southport Master's Commission, I know one thing for sure.
My dream will cost me everything. To have it come true I will have to sacrifice more than I already did. I will have to set new goals, and push towards them no matter how many obstacles will get in my way.
And I will do it.

Will you reach your dream?
Believe, learn and keep going.

Never ever give up. Not risking anything is more risky than sacrificing everything.
Stand your ground and fight for it.

Wyzwanie życia/ the challenge of a lifetime

Na co czekamy? What are we waiting for?
Szept drzew, Whisper of the trees,
Krzyk kamieni, Scream of stones,
Wyk wiatru? Howl of the wind?
Lepsze jutro, Better tomorrow,
Inne wczoraj, Different yesterday,
Unieważnione dzisiaj? Cancelled today?
Czy rzeczywistość w której jesteśmy  Is the reality in which we are right now
Jest naprawdę tą, Really the one
Na którą jesteśmy skazani? We are doomed to live in?
Czy naprawdę  Do we really
"Nie mamy wyjścia"? "Have no other choice"?
Co jest faktem, What is a fact,
A co nawykiem  And what's a habit
Porzuconych marzeń? Of abandoned dreams?
Zbyt łatwo sie poddajemy. We give up too easily.
Zbyt szybko przestajemy walczyć. Too easily we stop to fight.
Bierzemy ludzkie 'nie' We take human "no"
Jako wyrok na nasze życie. As a sentence for a lifetime.
Pozwalamy, by pesymizm innych We allow the pesimism of others
Decydował o kierunku Decide about the direction
Jaki obierzemy dla siebie. In which our life would go.
Dlaczego? Why?
Czy pewnego dnia Would you like to one day
Chcesz obudzić sie Wake up
Żałując wszystkiego? Regretting everything?
Patrząc na tych, którzy Looking at those
Podjęli się wyzwań, Who stood up to the challenges
Stanęli przeciwko schematom Who stood against schemes
I zmienili bieg swojego życia, And by that changed the course of their life
A potem odwracając wzrok Then, looking in a mirror
W kierunku lustra i widząc... Meet your own eyes and see..
Starego siebie? Your old self?
Niezmienionego? Unchanged?
Niewpływającego na nic i na nikogo? Being of no influence to others?
Jeżeli to nie jest to, If this is not
Czego chcesz od życia, What you'd like to get from this life,
Dlaczego prowadzić taki styl? Then why is this your lifestyle?
Dlaczego budzić sie i zasypiać Why should you wake up and go to sleep
Żałując, że dzisiaj sie wydarzyło? Regretting that today's even happened?
Jaki sens ma zazdrość o sukces What's the point of envying the success
Innych ludzi, of other people
Jeżeli Twój własny If your own
Jest w zasięgu ręki? Is within your reach?
Ty jesteś Twoim limitem. You are your own limit.
Twoja samo dyscyplina Your self discipline
Jest dystansem jaki Is the distance
Musisz przebyć You need to make
By zobaczyć, To see
Co jest na końcu tęczy. What's at the end of the rainbow.
Nie czekaj na jutro So don't wait for tomorrow
By wyruszyć w podróż poszukiwania. To begin your search.
Koniec niepewności. End of uncertainty
Koniec chwiejnych decyzji. End of shaky decisions.
Koniec. The end.
Czas na nowy początek It's time for a new beginning
Stawania sie osobą, Of becoming a person
Którą zawsze chciałeś być. You've always wanted to be.

Idź. Go.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

God's will vs your will

This is easier than it looks.
If you are honest and open to Him, he will speak. When we have a relationship with God, His desires become ours. But: remember that we are still human. What I've seen happen many many times over the last 5 years of my life is hear people say 'God told me to do this... to say this... to go there... to be with this person'- examples could go on, and shortly after saying this, the person was doing either complete opposite to that thing, or was saying 'well, now God told me to do this'.

How quickly is your God changing his mind???

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, in all the churches of the saints. 1 Cor 14:33.

God doesn't cause confusion. God is not going to tell you to marry three different people. He is not going to send you into two different places at once.

God is a God of endless opportunities. If you are open to be send, you will be send.
If you don't close yourself from His will, He will call you.
If you are truly dedicated to see His Kingdom come, if you take Matthew 28 seriously (go and make all disciples), He will anoint you to do great things.
God is looking for open hearts.

We can mistake our own heart for His will.
But not so easily if we truly seek Him out. If we pray, read the Bible, seek wisdom and guidance, do you know what will happen if you do those things?
His desires will become yours.

You will want to go and serve people. You will want to be selfless.
You will want to be called.
And when the right time comes, you will know exactly where it is that God is calling you.

You may have time of doubt and that's okay. It will provoke you to pray more.
You may not actually listen to Him but think that because you sit in a room with an open Bible God will grant you whatever you want. Nope.
God knows your heart, He knows what's good for you. He knows when you want to hear and obey.

If I was to count how many times I wanted something and I didn't get it, and how many times I was later on thanking God for not giving me that thing.
If you're stubborn and you tell yourself you need 'this', it doesn't make it God's will for your life.
It makes you death to His voice.

But if you wait PATIENTLY, if you pray without ceasing, if you keep on doing what God has called you to do right now, when the right time comes and you show yourself faithful to getting done what He wanted from you, He will take you deeper.

By this I mean that your perception will change. Desires of your heart will change.
Your hearing will be different. You will be able to filter through words to hear the need.
And you will know the next step for your life.
This may mean working in a different ministry, changing a job, getting a degree, moving, getting married and more.
It may also mean that you remain where you are doing what you do, but having your heart transformed by wisdom given to you through listening to God's voice.

Remember that this is a sensitive topic.
People pull out 'God told me' card as if they were actually listening to Him speak.
You may be hearing or you may be wanting to grand the desires of your own heart. This has nothing to do with the Lord.
God has a plan for you and there is a reason to why you are where you are. There could be a couple options:
1. Because this is the time and place for you
2. Because you didn't go when He called you
3. Because you chose this place for yourself, without the confidence that it's from Him.

you may be thinking that going somewhere without God's approval is impossible, but I know of many people who have missed on the calling on their life because they either chose to disobey and go somewhere else, where it looked more suitable for them, or because they simply didn't want to step up to the plate and do what He's called them to do, so they went the opposite direction.

So be careful. Simply, if you feel like you really need to hear from Him, dedicate more time to prayer, writing down your dreams and desires, seeing your opportunities, counting your blessings, speaking with leaders around you. Also, fast. Get your body under your will- don't be a slave to it anymore. Do basics you know God would want you to do- grow, serve, tell others about Him.

He may show you what to do through one of those small situations that required your sacrifice.
He may tell you through a place or conversation, maybe through a scripture, maybe through a person or a dream.
God can speak in many ways and there is one thing we need to do in order to hear: learn to be open.

He knows when the time is right, you don't need to know that, you just have to be ready.

Are you ready?
